Notable Projects & Achievements

Mooney Porcha (Mooney Rocket Conversion) STC & PMA Certification

Kerry was instrumental in the success of the Mooney Porcha (later Mooney Rocket Conversion) STC and PMA Certification Project. After the installation of the Continental 350 Liquid Cooled engine and fuel cell extension, Kerry flew 20 hours as Test Co-Pilot to ensure all systems met engineering and inflight requirements. The Mooney Rocket Aircraft was certified by the FAA in 1994 and remains in flight today.

Kerry Asbert

Kerry Asbert has been a leader in the Aerospace Industry for over 45 years. Starting as an Aerospace welder for Exotic Metals Company in 1985, Kerry mastered welding processes for Titanium, Stainless Steels, Inconel, and Aluminum. His proudest achievement at Exotic Metals was manufacturing the Stealth B1 Bomber Exhaust System—known as the “Jaws” project.

In 1987, Kerry began a 13-year career at Boeing, rising to Quality Engineer and providing Root Cause Corrective Actions for final assembly nonconformances across all Legacy 747-777-767 Programs. For the past 27 years, he has served as a Boeing Supplier Quality Manager, guiding ISO 9001/AS9100 implementation and sustainability for three major suppliers.

Kerry is also an FAA DMR, involved in FAA STC / PMA processes, and has assisted in the certification of numerous private and commercial aircraft projects. He is a certified ISO 9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor, having audited many companies to ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements.
